In Lab #1 you explored some of the graphing capabilities of Mathematica . In this lab we will take a closer look at the capabilities of Mathematica with regard to graphing in 3-space. The primary tool for graphing functions of 2-variables is the Mathematica function Plot3D. The next section studies this function along with various of its options. After skill with Plot3D is developed, successive sections examine graphing in cylindrical and spherical coordinates, graphing parametric surfaces, coutour graphs, and animations of such graphics.
