- Class 1, Wednesday, August 25, 1999
- Introductory material about the course will be presented. A brief discussion of the various branches of mathematics and statistics will be conducted. Then an introduction to the process of mathematical modeling will be discussed. This process will
be illustrated with a drug therapy example (pharmacokinetics). The material and graphs
presented in class are available on the web - you can skip the details in the explanations
since they require information from a course in differential equations.
