Note

Francis Marion Turpin does not show up in the 1880 Federal Census with the family of Calohill Turpin and Eliza. Instead, there is a Mary listed. It looks like the census taker entered Mary rather than Marion. The gender was overwritten in different handwriting to show "F" rather than the originally written "M." Also, the relationship to head of household was overwritten to show "daughter" rather than the original "son."
